I am an experienced speech and language therapist who has worked with patients suffering from various speech and language disorders. I achieved my Master's Degree at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin where I studied Polish Philology and specialized in teaching and logopedics. I obtained
a postgraduate diploma in neurologopedics
at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Warsaw. My final exam was
a defense of thesis on study on patient with expressive aphasia.
My passion towards speech therapy stemmed from my own personal fascination for the practical use of linguistics. I work predominantly with people suffering from aphasia (the majority of them need logopedic exercises due to the stroke they suffered) and children with language acquisition disorders (caused by impaired development or language delays). Additionally, my work has a strong focus on articulation and phonological delay disorders (in Polish language), dysarthria and feeding/swallowing disorders. My services also offer extensive therapy sessions for people who need support in using augmentative and alternative communication. I am experienced in work with bilingual children. I welcome English speaking patients and parents for therapy sessions and consultations.
I gained my experience as a speech therapist working as speech pathologist in Warsaw in kindergartens, orphanage and medical centers among others. I also took part in various projects which were financed by EFS and were run in preschools and schools.
I also conducted therapy sessions for adult patients at the Rehabilitation Center for Olympians and Paraolympians in Michałowice.
Since I believe that a positive relationship with the patient is the key factor to achieving both mine and my clients mutual goals, I provide friendly and supportive atmosphere and comfortable environment for therapy at all ages.
